We are aging from the moment we are born. It’s simply a matter of where we are along the way. Most of us aren’t really conscious of aging when we are younger. I think it was turning seventy that me aware of the finiteness of existence and that I was indeed aging. That is a smack in the face in many ways, but we don’t have to do it alone. I don’t claim to be an expert on aging – just a fellow traveler and avid reader. I thought it would be fun and rewarding to travel this road together.
This blog isn’t for a specific age — it’s for people who want to live the rest of their lives with as much vigor, expectation and joy as they did when life began. To do that, it takes all of who we are: our minds, bodies and spirits.
“In the sun that is young once only,
Time let me play and be
Golden in the mercy of his means
–Dylan Thomas, “Fern Hill”

Here you’ll find reflections on mindfulness and mental clarity (Mind), on movement, nourishment, and rest (Body), and on meaning, connection, and inner peace (Spirit). These are personal notes from my own journey, written in the hope that something here speaks to yours too.
A new reflection will arrive most Tuesdays and Thursdays, rotating through Mind, Body, and Spirit — so there’s usually something a little different waiting each time you visit.
